Home » FAQs FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How do I purchase an Online course? To purchase your online course just click on online training and select the course of your choice. Online purchases can either be paid for immediately by credit/debit card through our secured PayPal gateway after purchase, you can nominate somebody else to pay on your behalf, or an invoice can be requested. Brighter Connect (BC) Members login using their existing membership username and password. Non Members must register their details first during booking of course. Do I have to pay VAT? Yes, quoted fees exclude VAT chargeable in the UK and EU. Can I pay for my course by cash? No, we don’t collect cash or embark with any transaction by cash. Cancellation/ Refunds Can I cancel my payment after booking for a course? For all cancellations- please refer to the Brighter Connect’s T&Cs at the website footer. Can I receive a refund after payment? Refunds will normally follow the procedure outline in our Terms and conditions (T&Cs) – please refer. Course Access How do I access the courses I have paid for? On completing the online purchase process, you will receive automated emails confirmation that your account has been opened and your order. In another few minutes you will receive another email from our online portal team with a password via the email you used to purchase the course. You will then be asked to change the password to your personal one and then you are logged into your learning portal. How long do I have access to my purchased course? You will have access to this portal for 12 months to complete your course from the date of purchase. Do I have to complete a course in one go? No, you can visit your course at anytime, wherever you are. Each course is made up of a number of individual modules which enables you to complete it in your own time and at times convenient to you. How will I know when my 12-month assessment licence expire? Yes, We will send you an email before your assessment is about to expire offering you the opportunity to re-purchase. Please ensure your contact details are always kept up to date to ensure you receive this email. Is my purchased course transferable? No. Your course cannot be transferred to anyone else. What if I forget my Brighter Connect login details? If you forget your Brighter Connect login details please go to the Brighter Connect website and click on ‘My Account’, My Details then change password. I have purchased the course online but cannot access the course? Please contact the Brighter Connect online portal team on: email@example.com with subject query or contact us on +44 (0) 203 448 4803. Certificate Do I receive a certificate? Yes, a certificate of participation or completion will be available to you from the e-learning pages one week after purchasing the course. You need to login to receive your certificate. If you have purchased a course with exams and certification, the accredited body will generate a certification result for you. Exams How do I know when I am ready to sit the official exams? We recommend that you are ready to sit the official exams when you can achieve 80% in the in-course exam simulators. Please note that the e-learning courses only show as “complete” once the exam simulators have been passed with a score of 80%. When I am ready, how do I book an exam? When you are ready, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Will the course hold my place if I don't have time to take the whole thing at once? While you are taking the content portion the course will bookmark where you left off, however if you are taking the assessment you must take the entire assessment or it will not capture your answers. You can also manually create bookmarks throughout the courses using the bookmark tool. Pass Pledge What is Pass Pledge and how do I benefit from it? Provided you have completed the e-learning in full and passed the exam simulator with a pass mark of 80%, you will be entitled to a free resit. The exam simulator is included within the e-learning course Pass Pledge guarantee is through our dedicated partner and only for certain Foundation courses- contact BC online portal team for further information. Pass Pledge guarantee through our dedicated partner only for our foundation courses. Resource Portal How do I access the Brighter Connect’s Resource Portal? Only upon registration for one of our courses, you will then have: 3-months free access to our training materials – downloadable templates, manuals, and study guides, practice mock exams, live videos and more. 1-2-1 coaching sessions with field experts, CV reviews, and mentorship programme. 12-months access to our learning portal for candidates completing our online courses. Online Booking Can I convert my Classroom training to the Online training if they are similar? No, Classroom training is entirely separate from Online training and shouldn’t be confused for one another. Can I convert my Classroom Training to Virtual Classes? No, all training classes are entirely separate from each other. Can I pay by Bank transfer for any of your courses? Yes, we have such functionality but BC team needs to be contacted at the point of purchase so they can raise the invoice and provide the banking details for this. Can we book for courses using instalment payments? For now we are not embarking on this process but we can look into this if it’s a viable option for the prospective learner. Is my payment Secure? Yes. Payment is powered by PayPal. Whether you pay with a credit card or with a PayPal account, we never have access to your payment data. We do not have access to your payment details so we never store it either. It is all handled through PayPal. Live Projects How do I enrol unto a live project? All learners will have to complete the form on our Live Project page and submit and our BC team will respond with all the necessary information required to join one of the projects. Coupons Do I get a coupon discounts on every course that I book? No, coupon codes are discretionary as it depends on the season. Can I use same coupon for discount for another course booked? No, each coupon used will expire immediately and can’t be used for a subsequent purchase.
